Have you noticed in this timetable on pages 170 to 172 showing the Westbury to Swindon Service the calling points are in light grey and any one advise me why? As the rest of the timetable the calling points are in Dark black font
As in the rest of timetalve light grey are for connection trains.

Well we do have direct services to Southampton & Cheltenham Spa

Do FGW (First Great Western) think this is a connecting service North/South service?

I don't know, Sion ... but I do know that at times the First Great Western's publicity department seem to forget that they took over the TransWilts service from Wessex.

Just the other week, the Melksham tourist information asked for timetables for the local trains that they could had out to visitors to (and residents of) Melksham ... and they were sent nice piles of Westbury and Trowbridge to Bath and Bristol mini-timetables, nice piles of London - Bath and Bristol via Chippenham, and not one timetable that actually showed trains that call here at Melksham ("Large Market town - population 23,000")

Frankly, FGW (First Great Western) should be ashamed of the service they provide.  Although they're headquartered in Swindon, I don't think any of their senior staff live in Melksham.  Does that strike you as a bit of a co-incidence, or is it an admission that they're providing an inadequate service?
