You're correct on that and, yes, the TravelWatch South West meeting - http://www.travelwatchsouthwest.org/ .

Travel Watch South West is a very useful meeting of travel and transport groups and gives a representative of each the chance to meet and discuss with one another, and also (and importantly) with senior representatives of the various companies and organisations involved in running and regulating public transport.

Travel Watch South West meetings start mid-morning on a Saturday, and end mid-afternoon in order to allow delegates from as far as Gloucester and Penzance, Swindon and deepest Dorset to get to Taunton and to do so by public transport - it's almost regarded as being unfaithful if you drive.  However, I can recall apologising on one occasion for doing so. But once I told people my rail alterative - train departs 19:15 on Friday evening, get back 21:30 on Saturday night for six hours in Taunton, which is only about 70 miles from us ...
