Quite coincidentally, I've posted elsewhere this evening an example of how 'lost property' (which can so easily cause bad publicity, when the way it is dealt with is less than honest) can also be very good news when it is handled well: see

On the other hand, if it represents the life savings of some poor forgetful old soul who carried it around with her, rather than entrusting it to an Icelandic bank - at least she could be reunited with it straight away!
