For the main lines, http://www.nationalrail.co.uk/times_fares/Christmas_2008/First_Great_Western.html has more information.  The FGW (First Great Western) site just tells us to use the journey planner and only has timetable for the branch lines.  I don't know why FGW don't publish the timetable alterations like they used to.

There's very little engineering work affecting FGW (First Great Western) services this Christmas. Don't get too used to that though as with the Reading rebuild and Crossrail, I expect most public holidays will involve 'travel misery and chaos' (the phrase our journalist friends always trot out) in the years to come...

Believe me you will find plenty of my rants about this on posts around this forum.  Sad

Though on this occasion as Industry Insider says there is very little engineering work taking place on the Western Region over the Christmas/New Year period so it probably wasn't worth publishing revised timetables.

Yes but they could at least have published details of the service level each day or when the last trains are on Christmas Eve/New Years Eve.  If they did not want to do that then they could have given a link to the details on the National Rail site, this would be easier than having to search through the journey planner for all the trains.
