Apparently both the 18:42 Swindon and the 19:35 from Westbury are not running between Swindon and Westbury tonight. To my knowledge, all trains ran for the last two days, but the 19:35 from Westbury didn't run on Sunday either, at least on this part of its route.

We were promised that "At least when the service is cut we'll be able to run the remaining trains more reliably", then "it will be running reliably by the end of January". Were these empty promises?

To be fair, I have no explanation for any of these three cancellations, so there may be good reason - I have asked and will follow up as, when, if I hear anything. In the meantime I'm looking forwrd to a potentiallyinteresting journey from Melksham to Oxford and back tomorrow!

This line does seem to have more than it's fair share of cancellations which, with the poor timetable since december, really shows up because of so few services that now operate. Eventually this, if it hasnt already, will cause what passengers there are left using the service to give up and find another way to travel which is sad because of all the good work done over the years to promote the line by Wessex trains.

IF the down (1842 from Swindon is canxed) then there is a good chance the up (1935 from Westbury) will be canxed, as they are worked by the same guard
