The second one is (I think) the statue of King Alfred the Great in the market place in Wantage?

William Huskisson MP▸ (Member of Parliament, or Mile Post - a method of measuring the railway in miles and chains from a starting point - usually London, depending on context) was the first person to be killed by a train while crossing the tracks, in 1830.  Many more have died in the same way since then.  Don't take a chance: Stop, Look, Listen.

Both correct .. which leaves just the fourth picture to be identified.   A well know enough spot, and very much in the area that FGW▸ (First Great Western) covers .... just not on the railway  Wink

Aaaarrgh!!!  I should have got 3 - Taunton!  I was standing next to you when you took the bluddy photograph!!!

Looks like the river that runs through Christ Church university's grounds by the Botanic Gardens in Oxford? A lovely place for a stroll...
