From the FGW▸ (First Great Western) website :

15:00 Cardiff Central to Taunton due 17:00

This train has been revised.It will no longer call at: Bedminster, Parson Street, Nailsea & Backwell, Yatton, Worle and Weston Milton.This is due to an unusually large passenger flow.

William Huskisson MP▸ (Member of Parliament) was the first person to be killed by a train while crossing the tracks, in 1830.  Many more have died in the same way since then.  Don't take a chance: stop, look, listen.

"Level crossings are safe, unless they are used in an unsafe manner."  Discuss.

They are told, "Well, you should have got off at BTM▸ (Bristol Temple Meads (strictly, it should be BRI)) and caught another (bigger?) train that will stop at those stations!"  Huh

I think you've hit the nail on the head this was a way getting some time back: heavy passenger flow was the excuse.

Does anyone know if there was large party from BTM▸ (Bristol Temple Meads (strictly, it should be BRI)) to Highbridge Bridgewater or Tauton?
