The 0940 Weston-super-Mare to Cardiff Central service has been retimed to run a few minutes later between Weston-super-Mare and Bristol Temple Meads (link below.)

Yes, that one caught me out this morning!

As far as I'm aware, it was not announced in advance at Nailsea & Backwell, and I could only find one poster by platform 15 at BTM▸ (Bristol Temple Meads (strictly, it should be BRI) but BTM is a commonly used alternative)) this evening that gave me any more information.  Roll Eyes

I'll do a bit more digging on that one.  Huh Angry

William Huskisson MP▸ (Member of Parliament, or Mile Post - a method of measuring the railway in miles and chains from a starting point - usually London, depending on context) was the first person to be killed by a train while crossing the tracks, in 1830.  Many more have died in the same way since then.  Don't take a chance: Stop, Look, Listen.

"Level crossings are safe, unless they are used in an unsafe manner."  Discuss.

Yes, a full size poster is now evident - but it certainly wasn't put there in advance of the change, so far as I can tell: indeed, the announcement on the FGW▸ (First Great Western) website seems to have been made in a similarly 'last minute' manner?

Interestingly, I saw Keith Walton on the platform at Nailsea last Monday, looking similarly puzzled at this apparent last-minute change!  Unfortunately, I didn't have chance to compare notes with him as to the possible reasons for such re-timing.  Huh
