These services have been cancelled two days in a row due to lack of train crew. Is there a problem down that way?

Dunno - but I had to tell my map system (top of pages) where Shalford was yesterday, so it's the first change to trains to or from there in a while (the system alerts me if a new station comes up )

The 19:04 Reading-Shalford & 20:08 Shalford-Reading services have also been cancelled this evening.
