From our service provider

Quote
What's happening

Our infrastructure team will be making architecture changes and improvements to routing services within the facility to improve efficiency and reliability in our London (LON-2) cloud location. This will take place on Wednesday the 19th of March 2025 from 00:00 UTC until 04:00 UTC.

The maintenance will impact your server(s) with the following Main IP(s) only:

88.202.183.177
88.202.183.215

What's the impact?

Expect multiple periods of connectivity disruption to both external and internal traffic during the maintenance window. There will be a minimum of 60 minutes of service interruption within the first two hours of this window.

That's our worker machine - our receptionist is elsewhere and will continue to run.   For the brief outage period involved, it makes more sense for me to just let the forum fail to respond for an hour or so and have the receptionist flounder a bit. I do have (and will tae further) backups for Justincase circumstances.

Turned out to be minimally disruptive.

You can find out more about how this forum works [here] - that will link you to a copy of the forum agreement that you can read before you join, and tell you very much more about how we operate. We are an independent forum, provided and run by customers of Great Western Railway, for customers of Great Western Railway and we welcome railway professionals as members too, in either a personal or official capacity. And once members have made a certain number of posts, they will automatically be admitted to the "frequent posters club", where subjects not-for-public-domain are discussed; anything from the occasional rant to meetups we may be having ...
