18:27 Cardiff Central to Trowbridge due 19:51

18:27 Cardiff Central to Trowbridge due 19:51 will be cancelled.
This is due to a shortage of train crew.

A number today - Bristol to Cardiff, Trowbridge, Worcester and Taunton.   What prognosis for this year (2025)?  No reports of cancellations on the first-to-go line from Westbury to Swindon because all Sunday trains since 22nd December have been cancelled with longer notice and bus replacements provided - and such longer notice cancellations don't actually get reported as cancellations.

Time and half for rest day working agreement I’m led to believe ended yesterday. Weekend running has been pretty decent since it came into place in mid December

It's still time-and-a-half for drivers to work any additional shift.  Except on a Sunday when it is still time-and-a-quarter (and always has been apart from 22nd/29th December).

The prognosis?  Depends on the negotiations that the DfT» (Department for Transport - about) have finally allowed GWR (Great Western Railway) and the Unions to undertake to bring Sunday within the working week.  Union reps have been busy getting ideas and explaining the possible outcomes at various depots over the last week or so.
