Whilst it's never great to see the map covered in red lines, at least this weekend (as well as the inevitable staff shortage related cancellations), much of the disruption is due to engineering works, which I am told (amongst other activity) involves installing new rails between Reading and Paddington - hopefully this might help to relieve the virtually daily disruption and meltdowns which have been a feature of this route over the past couple of months?
......but then again.....following the installation of new track....
Cancellations to services between Reading and London Paddington
Due to a speed restriction over defective track between Reading and London Paddington trains have to run at reduced speed on some lines.
Train services running to and from these stations will be cancelled, delayed or revised.
Maidenhead, Twyford and Slough will not be served.
Disruption is expected until the end of the day.
