William Huskisson MP (Member of Parliament, or Mile Post - a method of measuring the railway in miles and chains from a starting point - usually London, depending on context) was the first person to be killed by a train while crossing the tracks, in 1830.  Many more have died in the same way since then.  Don't take a chance: Stop, Look, Listen.

"Level crossings are safe, unless they are used in an unsafe manner."  Discuss.

I'm going to give you the connection / theme - I have used a picture I have taken each month of 2024 to make up this quiz, in order.   So no. 1 as taken in January and so on up to no.12 being earlier this month (December).  Perhaps that was more personal and obscure than appropriate.  And - beware - I may be able to do a similar series in December 2025.

No 2 was obviously taken while you did your Interrail trip in Europe. My guess would be that is somewhere in either the Czech Republic or Slovakia, but no idea where in those.
