Customer Advice
We have been advised of a points failure between Bristol Temple Meads and Weston-super-Mare area, which is preventing trains running on the line in both directions. The line is currently blocked.

Replacement road transport has been requested to operate in both directions . Further details of this will be advertised when the road transport has been sourced.

Means Bristol Temple Meads is a no go area for trains. Couple this with a rack of train crew cancellations, you have a real mess of a service today. You just cannot rely on the railways on weekends.

Lines now open, but the mess to services this overrun has caused will be felt for the rest of the day.

A no tea, no biscuits meeting will doubtless be held tomorrow to discuss what went wrong.

A bit of everything thrown in there.   Over-running engineering work to the east of Temple Meads and a points failure to the west.

Also meant sets couldn't enter service from St Philip's Marsh depot.
