William Huskisson MP▸ (Member of Parliament) was the first person to be killed by a train while crossing the tracks, in 1830.  Many more have died in the same way since then.  Don't take a chance: stop, look, listen.

Blimey, it's my first "where was I" that didn't get answered correctly in minutes.

Perhaps as a further clue it might help to know that both ellendune and CfN were correct in thinking that it was a freight only line.

I don't think so: johnneyw has given us a clue that it's 'some considerable way south of Bristol'.  That takes me down somewhere towards Dorset.  Lips sealed

Yes Chris, technically correct but it is still in a more southerly general direction...... and I didn't want to be making it too easy.
