This won’t help with services to/from the southwest that had been diverted to avoid the signalling issue at Newbury. This has now been resolved so southwest services can now run via their booked route.

Cancellations to services between London Paddington and Plymouth via Taunton
Due to a fire next to the track between Pewsey and Bedwyn all lines are blocked. Disruption is expected until 15:00 02/07.
Train services between London Paddington and Plymouth via Taunton and Exeter St Davids may be cancelled, delayed or diverted between Taunton and Reading.
Customer Advice
Several fires next to the railway in the area between Bedwyn and Pewsey means that both lines on that route are currently blocked. The Fire Service is attending the fire locations.

Trains will be diverted on alternative routes where train crew knowledge allows, or be held at stations pending events.

More information to follow.

Firstly, OMG (Oh My doG ).

But I am curious as to how the issue at Twyford was resolved?  Was everyone left to wait in the rain or were coaches provided?
