GWR (Great Western Railway) ensuring everyone knows ‘it ain’t our fault guv’.

Not a great start to the first day of the three day blockade of passenger services due to work at Old Oak Common. And to think we’ve got years of this to come.

I am so looking forward to a changed, nationalised world in which we can close our "Smoke and mirrors" board where we deal the passing the buck!

Notwithstanding (I'm sure!) the tongue in cheek nature of that comment I suspect you'll find it'll continue, but in more of a circular fashion, and by the time the parcel is eventually passed back to the point where it started, it'll have been forgotten about, in the best traditions of British civil/public services, and no-one will be held responsible!  Cheesy

Indeed, and judging by ‘normal’ service having been resumed on the shortage of train crew front, GWR aren’t really in a position to throw any stones.

Disruption now expected till 2pm now on the issue at Acton West.

Hmm...I expect that the majority of those affected will not draw that conclusion, and will be mystified by it. Will they assume it's Network Rail not GWR? I am not so sure. I expect that the TOC (Train Operating Company) will be blamed by most, who (rightly) will not care whose fault it is, merely that it has occurred, and should not have.
