Now updated to "Major disruption is expected until 21:00" - currently numerous Elizabeth Line cancellations but only one or two GWR (Great Western Railway) affected.

That's 6,8,12,16,19,20,25,26,27 & 28 August (so far) this month that there's been significant delays/cancellations on this stretch of line due to points/signal failure, track defects & OHL (Over-Head Line) issues, to say nothing of last weekends spectacular BBQ Sunday.

Wonder what the plan is?

We must ask Daryn McCombe, Director of Performance at GWR (Great Western Railway), when we meet him online here on the Coffee Shop forum at 14:30 on Thursday 3 October 2024.  Grin

William Huskisson MP (Member of Parliament) was the first person to be killed by a train while crossing the tracks, in 1830.  Many more have died in the same way since then.  Don't take a chance: stop, look, listen.

"Level crossings are safe, unless they are used in an unsafe manner."  Discuss.

Was he booked to attend on 13th June but delayed due to travelling in the Thames Valley?

Journeycheck not reporting it (do they not work Sundays either?), but this from National Rail....

Route(s) affected
Elizabeth line between London Paddington and Heathrow Terminal 4 / Heathrow Terminal 5 / Maidenhead / Reading

All Great Western Railway Routes to / from London Paddington

All Heathrow Express routes to / from London Paddington

Description
Overunning engineering works between London Paddington and Ealing Broadway means all lines are blocked. As a result, trains may be cancelled, delayed by up to 30 minutes or revised. This is expected until 09:30.

......won't help the already shambolic Sunday service at all.
