thoughts with those who have suffered in the incident

Looking at the film footage and how issues are done in other countries

Loads of persons near the collision site maybe they could have been passengers on the train or locals.

But when incidents have happened in the U.K. the only persons allowed any where near the site are emergency workers

Where and by whom ?
It has been mentioned on more than one occasion that you fail to post a link to back up your posts ,relying on others to fill in the blanks  you are getting this info from somewhere Infoman  is It beyond you to copy and paste a link !...

I'm going to step in here, gently, as a moderator to hopefully 'cool things down'.

On the Coffee Shop forum, we encourage members to post about any railway or other public transport issues.  We also encourage anyone who posts to include a link to their source, just because it makes it so much easier for all of other our readers to see the full story.

I hope this clarifies the apparent issue.  Wink

William Huskisson MP▸ (Member of Parliament, or Mile Post (a method of measuring the railway in miles and chains from a starting point - usually London), depending on context) was the first person to be killed by a train while crossing the tracks, in 1830.  Many more have died in the same way since then.  Don't take a chance: Stop, Look, Listen.

"Level crossings are safe, unless they are used in an unsafe manner."  Discuss.
