Bristol Channel on the Waverley?

My initial thought too but I was on Waverley yesterday and it's paddles do kick up enough water to make that calm water somewhat livelier.

Correct ....

Bristol Channel on the Waverley?

... but not there, lovely though it would be.

We are in a place describes as being "a mythical rural realm ruled by the god Pan." My source tells me "It was first written about by the Greek poet Theocritus in his 'Idylls' of the 3rd century BC. He described it as inhabited by shepherds, nymphs and satyrs."

From this morning ... a further picture

From the picture a guess of a Norwegian fjord, but that didn't sit with the Greek Gods bit.
My turn to be all at sea.

You are on the cruise ship Arcadia, which is presumably touring up the Norwegian coast. Pan's rural realm was Arcadia, which was in the Peloponnese in Greece.

Arcadia is currently at or near Iceland as part of a cruise which also takes in Norway.

Correct ... the first picture was taken here:

and we are now docked in Akureyri in Iceland, with a picture taken on the approach.

Arcadia is a land of plenty ...

and in a land where the sun never sets

You may have avoided diversions due to leaves, trees, or other malign objects on the line. But beware of "lava on the sea route" (we know there is already a lot of "lava on the road").

Intersting orienting maps when you are close to the pole and everywhere is south from here. American owned company, or my greenwich centred mentality?
