Did you know ... that we have a number of short cuts on the Coffee Shop to useful resources.  These are all promotable, sharable, book-markable and permanent.   And they will work with alternative domains such as firstgreatwestern.info  and gwr.passenger.chat and great-western.info

First and foremost - here's "I need help"  ... http://www.passenger.chat/help

Now - other common stuff ...

http://www.passenger.chat/news - takes you to the most recent posts
http://www.passenger.chat/join - forum registration page
http://www.passenger.chat/register - forum registration page (alternative URL)
http://www.passenger.chat/about - about the Coffee Shop web site
http://www.passenger.chat/who - who we are - people behing running the Coffee Shop
http://www.passenger.chat/newcomer - newcomers start here and a reference for others
http://www.passenger.chat/reference - (also) newcomers start here and a reference for others
http://www.passenger.chat/faq - Frequently asked questions
http://www.passenger.chat/constitution - our constitution

... and some more current links

http://www.passenger.chat/photos - advice to photographers of trains
http://www.passenger.chat/flex - flexible season tickets
http://www.passenger.chat/apcoa - an experience with car parkin, penalty and appeal
http://www.passenger.chat/coronavirus - advise on coronavirus and travel
http://www.passenger.chat/melksham - Melksham Specific
http://www.passenger.chat/Waterloo - Campaign - Britol, Bath, West Wilts to Waterloo trains

There are a lot of other links that us a pattern to give you a quick sharable link. Pattern:

example http://www.passenger.chat/b12 - Board, change number for different board
(board 12 is "London to the West", board 4 is "Fares Fair" and so on.)
If you visit a board index, the board number can be read from the URL.

example http://www.passenger.chat/12767 - thread, change number for a different thread
(this example takes you to a discussion on public and internal incident reporting)
If you visit a thread, the thread number can be read from the URL.
Add an image name such as http://www.passenger.chat/28789hp01
and that will change the image to the named one from my database.
For Facebook sharing - the image will be the one Facebook highlights if you post the URL there

example http://www.passenger.chat/28340.347299 - thread and message number to jump to
If you visit a thread and message, the thread and message number can be read from the URL.
Add .imagename to change the picture http://www.passenger.chat/28763.347126.ir24_0c and similar
and that will change the image to the named one from my database.
For Facebook sharing - the image will be the one Facebook highlights if you post the URL there

Change the WSB» (Westbury - next trains) to any other three letter station code in the following
example http://www.passenger.chat/WSB - jump to page relating to a particular station

Here are other short cuts which still work but are archived / parked at present

http://www.passenger.chat/photograph
http://www.passenger.chat/manager
http://www.passenger.chat/meet-the-manager
http://www.passenger.chat/meetthemanager
http://www.passenger.chat/petition
http://www.passenger.chat/calendar
http://www.passenger.chat/talk
http://www.passenger.chat/chat
http://www.passenger.chat/test

Best attempt made to check all of these - please let me know if you find any that don't work, especially in any expanded form

Do you have something you would like to add to this thread, or would you like to raise a new question at the Coffee Shop? Please [register] (it is free) if you have not done so before, or login (at the top of this page) if you already have an account - we would love to read what you have to say!

You can find out more about how this forum works [here] - that will link you to a copy of the forum agreement that you can read before you join, and tell you very much more about how we operate. We are an independent forum, provided and run by customers of Great Western Railway, for customers of Great Western Railway and we welcome railway professionals as members too, in either a personal or official capacity. Views expressed in posts are not necessarily the views of the operators of the forum.

As well as posting messages onto existing threads, and starting new subjects, members can communicate with each other through personal messages if they wish. And once members have made a certain number of posts, they will automatically be admitted to the "frequent posters club", where subjects not-for-public-domain are discussed; anything from the occasional rant to meetups we may be having ...
