William Huskisson MP▸ (Member of Parliament, or Mile Post (a method of measuring the railway in miles and chains from a starting point - usually London), depending on context) was the first person to be killed by a train while crossing the tracks, in 1830.  Many more have died in the same way since then.  Don't take a chance: Stop, Look, Listen.

"Level crossings are safe, unless they are used in an unsafe manner."  Discuss.

Brennner, yes - where local trains from Italy come in and terminate at one end, and local trains from Austria come in and terminate at the other.

You are right in saying Italy- darn it, because that's an Austrian train at the Austrian end of the platform with Austrian hills in the background and the train headed for the Austrian city of Innsbruck.  However, I have just looked on a map and the international border is at the very end of the platform ...
