How about Waterloo to Guildford via
  • Woking
  • Cobham & Stoke D'Abernon
  • Epsom

Interesting sets of multiple routes - but everything from Waterloo goes though Vauxhall (and Queens Road and Clapham Junction) so it's scarcely headed off in different directions.

From the Guildford end, there are only two routes until one splits after Effingham Junction. Twickenham also fails by the same next station rule, but by only one station (Strawberry Hill).

Oops. I failed to read the criteria properly. Sorry.

If the London Underground counts, then there are loads of answers. Paddington to Baker Street, Paddington to Liverpool Street, Paddington to Embankment...

I'm going to differ - I don't think those fit the three way specification for example ...

Paddington to Embankment - Bakerloo line (next stop Edgware Road) or Circle line (next stop Bayswater).  The circle le in the other direction now terminates at Edgware Road - so no third route, even if you had sorted out issues about Edgware Road being two separate stations (so Bakerloo and Circle counted as two routes), whereas Paddington is just one station.

Although if you caught your Circle Line train from platform 16 at Paddington it would be direct to Embankment.....(although the next station would still be Edgware Road, the same as the Bakerloo Line, so it could fail on that criteria).

Surely Paddington to Liverpool Street would use the Elizabeth line
