Usual problem: I was going to Oxford today but when I looked at 7am this morning there was only 1 down train back from Oxford running between 15:00 and 18:00.

That would have arrived at Oxford full and standing so ether I would not have been able to get on or would have had to stand as far as Moreton in Marsh.

Stayed at home.

Shops in Oxford lost my buisiness Argos gained.

One of these days I am going to find out who at GWR (Great Western Railway) Control thinks it’s a smart idea to turn trains short at Shrub Hill, and frogmarch them repeatedly between Foregate and Shrub Hill in hot weather with a heavy backpack…

Looks like the halts train is going to turn back at Evesham today.

07:30
The stock for the halts train is struggling on. Left Evesham 88 late as a result of waiting for the late-running 06:43 Shrub Hill - Paddington.

With the following 14:53 Paddington to Worcester Foregate Street running 18 minutes late.

The 2023 thread got to 29 pages; it's mid May and we're already two thirds of the way to that total!

Both of these journeys have been removed from the list of cancellations - but are not shown as 'reinstated'.
