Bath Spa - ticket office closed

Due to the Roof clasping in at Bath spa Railway station and interchange in Somerset
A grade 11 listed building.
The Booking office is closed with very limited ticket from the ticket machines.
The bus rail coach travel centre closed 18 months ago in the joining bus and coach station.
And no discount tickets or split Tickets
Very limited bus railway intergrated journeys tickets.
No railsali  tickets to Ireland Northern Ireland channel islands and isles of man and Scottish island .
No 50 % wheelchair discounts tickets
Split tickets.

Their some ass ticket staff at the station
But for a west country gateway transport hub and major European  Tourism city the station booking hall needs urgent attention and a restored ticket office.
The passenger lift are also not working to platform no 1 .
No hearing loop is available for passenger with   hearing difficulties.
Bristol disability equlities forum and Railfuture Severnside are calling on the Department for transport.

First group plc Great western railway company.
To restore the station as soon as possible as is Banes council and the west of England mayoral combined transport Authority mayor Dan Norris.

I would normally start this in "The Rumour Mill" but it is backed up by a photo - putting it in public to help get news out. Watching for local media and other follow up.

Surely a grade 11 listed building is hardly worth bothering about? It's 9 grades less valuable than a Grade 2.

It would be rather wonderful to list all building from (say) grades 1 to 20.  With 1 from superb, though 10 as average and 20 as condemned.

Interestingly not mentioned on Journeycheck as a station with a ticket office not open as scheduled.

If its listed, all repairs will need agreeing by English Heritage - NR^» (Network Rail - home page) can't just walk in & start repairs.

Bath Spa ticket office *is* out of action. A friend bought a long distance ticket there towards the end of the week but was unable to reserve a seat. Interim arrangements involve staff at a table but not able to offer the full range of services.

Technically not quite correct. If it is listed it may need listed building consent from Bath & NE Somerset Council (depending on the work required), who may consult English Heritage Historic England*.  Historic England might also need to be consulted if they have previously give a grant for work on the building. 

* What was English Heritage was split a couple of years ago into the organisation that runs the properties, which kept the name, and the regulatory organisation that is now called Historic England

I went to renew my senior rail card there on Tuesday of last week, only to find that the ticket office was closed (pretty sure this was the first day it was) and that the staff in the lobby would not be able to do the renewal. So I had to fork out £6 to travel to Bristol to do it there.

The next day, having booked a ticket on line, I went down to collect it from the ticket machine at Bath Spa, only to find that all the ticket machines were also out of action.

A very frustrating start to the week, but it did improve once I was actually travelling away out of GWR^▸ (Great Western Railway) land for a few days.

The ticket office now appears to have partly reopened. Presumably the repairs needed are just for one end of the office, as the left hand side (as the passenger looks at it) has been open for the last couple of days (and has had long queues when I've been there).

They are used.....by 12% of customers.

12% of the users of Bath Spa station is a lot of people.
