Not sure what that's about - looks like it left Swindon on time.  I have looked ahead to Melksham and note it will be the 15th train to pass through today - two tracks now please!

We've been advised that due to safety concerns over the structure of a stairwell, platform 1 at Worcester Foregate Street station has had to be closed. Trains to/from Great Malvern or Hereford are still able to run however, but not calling at Worcester Foregate Street.

Recorded here as a short-run of a train serving the Westbury to Swindon line, but in practise there are few passengers from South of Swindon who stay on the train beyond Worcester Shrub Hill!

I took a trip deep into South Western Railway territory yesterday (Saturday). Sad, but sadder still perhaps that I was not surprised, to note that the ONLY problems I faced all day were with GWR (Great Western Railway) services - short formed trains, cancelled services due to shortage of train crews, one service 40+ minutes overdue because of overcrowding [short formed again] & the following service cancelled altogether; it was a regular litany of apology. Then when I did finally get a train heading in the right homeward direction several hours after I'd planned, I had to walk the length of it before I could find a seat that actually offered a unrestricted view out of the window - again something I had no problem at all with on any of the services I travelled on down in Hampshire. It shouldn't be like this - people have a right to set out for a day trip on public transport and be reasonably confident that they can get home again.

Facilities on the 06:35 Salisbury to Worcester Foregate Street due 09:47.
Will be formed of 3 coaches instead of 5.

Odd one ... would not have ever expected it to be 5 carriages ... JourneyCheck glitch?    This one does "need" to be 3 carriages - busy into Swindon and rammed onwards from there to Stroud.   Qualified "good" if it's really 5 cars standard into the future, provided it works selective door at Melksham; single door no longer appropriate there for most trains due to station dwell time that would be required.
