Railway industry Twitter has often been the best Twitter. The railways were early adopters. The best (both on the infrastructure side and from the TOCs (Train Operating Company)) have empowered dedicated staff to make effective use of Twitter and this has been to the mutual benefit of the railway and its passengers. Should Twitter implode, I'm hoping that the people employed in relation to this platform and the skills built by them don't go on the bonfire in the process.

Hadn't thought of tweeting it but good idea, thanks. At a quieter time for railway twitter perhaps. Today, the further north they are, the more they'll likely be donning floatation aids and checking the sump pumps.
