Can you get it replaced?


Mine no longer does the gates - has another three weeks

No idea what happened to it

WOS» (Worcester Shrub Hill - next trains) ticket office say they ant do anything other than issue a duplicate (which because I lost one ticket and had my purse stolen I am not eligible for)

Surely there is some way of getting a defective ticket re-issued?

I am sick of trying to defend why I have a dodgy ticket twice a day!

If a ticket fails to operate barriers, you should be eligible for a free reissue which doesn't count against or towards or limit.

but I cant convince WOS» (Worcester Shrub Hill - next trains) office staff of the same!

Is there any regulation I can quote at them?

Have you tried asking at Paddington / Reading? Staff at the larger stations with barriers might have come across this more often and thus know how to deal with it. Or phone FGW▸ (First Great Western) customer services. I would suggest either of those before "quoting regulations at them".

William Huskisson MP▸ (Member of Parliament, or Mile Post - a method of measuring the railway in miles and chains from a starting point - usually London, depending on context) was the first person to be killed by a train while crossing the tracks, in 1830.  Many more have died in the same way since then.  Don't take a chance: Stop, Look, Listen.

As mentioned earlier, Replacements due to encoding issues are simple enough and should be done by Worcester for you, but Reading or Paddington will deal with it as earlier mentioned Smiley

I buy my daily ticket either at Nailsea (if the machine's working!) or on the train - but often it doesn't work in the exit barriers at BTM▸ (Bristol Temple Meads (strictly, it should be BRI) but BTM is a commonly used alternative)), ten minutes later!   Roll Eyes
