Research ...
1. What is the MAXIMUM walking distance between platforms at the SAME station (main network and or underground) - now or historic. And, yes, provide plenty of examples; I am not looking for an absolute record
2. What is the MINIMUM walking distance between the platform(s) at DIFFERENT stations (main network and or underground) - now or historic. And, yes, provide plenty of examples; I am not looking for an absolute record here either.
My starters - Platform 1 to low level platforms at Glasgow Central - Watford Junction DC▸ lines to St Albans Abbey platform - Kings Cross / St Pancras - some awful long walks there!
- St Budeaux Victoria Road to St Budeaux Ferry Road - Culrain to Invershin - Embankment to Charing Cross

One of my favourites is Shipton on the Cotswold Line. Probably not a record holder, but you have to walk a third of a mile to get between the two platforms.

Category 2: Catford and Catford Bridge. Walking distance about 100 yards, and it was possible to get tickets that required the passenger to walk that walk, for example a ticket from Bellingham to Lewisham. Also famous for Geoff Marshall's YouTube video about two stations between which it it not possible to buy a ticket.

Category 2 doesn't say anything about locales.
So. Penzance to Wick. They're DIFFERENT stations and the MINIMUM walking distance between them is 793 miles. Google Maps suggest this will take 11 days to walk - non-stop.
That walk may be preferable to the bulk of the journey being on a CrossCountry Voyager!

It depends if you're looking for the overall minimum across the country of individual minimums between two stations. Here is another candidate. Long time since I was there - can't recall if there was a short cut over the fields.

Liverpool Street Elizabeth Line to Elizabeth Line is a surprisingly long walk at present. Not a permanent situation, of course.

Oops, not quite what was asked... but last time I checked, end of the platforms at Glasgow Central to the station front was a comparable walk to the one from the Glasgow Central station frontage to the dramatically improved Queen Street.

**- Kings Cross / St Pancras - some awful long walks there!**
Depending on where you're heading, there are (slight) shortcuts. For e.g. underground to St Pancras Southeastern Trains platforms, identify the exit from the underground that takes you out of the station to the pavement outside St Pancras's eastern flanking wall and then head along that and you're there.
If you're heading for the Midland Main Line, I'm so sorry.

The various bits of Stratford (London) station generally, newcomers are worst afflicted as they're likely to have to retrace their steps several times while they get the hang of the station.
And if you're heading for the 'International'* platforms then if you're lucky you get to walk through a whole shopping centre.
*No international trains. Also, there's a single through line that enters at the west end of the station box, takes off onto a viaduct, curves and exits stage left. *Noo* idea what that's about.

Dorchester West to Dorchester South. One third of a mile and two busy roads to cross
And a market to negotiate if you choose the wrong day. I was making a dash from West to south one day in order to get to Pool for a steam charter to Weymouth. My arrival at west was delayed leaving me about 5 minutes and I found the car park between the two full of people and hazards like racks of clothes on sale.

Wigan North Western to Wigan Wallgate is another example of no fares available between the two.
