We can be reassured that it is not as bad as last time when the whole lot came down

This was in connection with the redesigning of Bath city centre by the Luftwaffe in 1941...

If major work is required, as seems probable, one might hope that solar panels could be installed as part of the project.

Several suppliers offer semi transparent PV modules  that are ideal for glass roofs.

A proper intercity train has a minimum of 8 coaches, gangwayed throughout, with first at one end, and a full sized buffet car between first and standard.
It has space for cycles, surfboards, luggage etc.
A 5 car DMU (Diesel Multiple Unit) is not a proper inter-city train. The 5+5 and 9 car DMUs are almost as bad.

1941 was what my ex-father in law told me and its too late to ask him now because he died in 1990. He lived in Bath right through the war and they certainly got a lot of "visits from across the Channel"

Was Green Park's windscreen ever glazed? Especially given the current use of the station, it would make sense to do so as it would improve the environment in there. Ditto selectively blocking the vents in the roof.
