Grant Shapps has announced that there will be a national "Great Ticket Sale" from mid-April.

https://vm.tiktok.com/ZMLfU5y8G/?k=1

No further official details yet but a pinned comment from him on the TikTok video says to keep an eye on his Twitter feed for more details soon.

Also, a post on RailUK Forums has this:
Quote
There will be Advance and Off Peak fares available on participating operators (Chiltern, XC (Cross Country Trains (franchise)), c2c, EMR» (East Midlands Railway, also known as EMT» (East Midlands Trains - about) (East Midlands Trains) - about), Greater Anglia, GWR (Great Western Railway), GTR, Northern, Southeastern, SWR» (South Western Railway - about),. TPE (Trans Pennine Express), LNER» (London North Eastern Railway - about), Avanti, WMT)

Tickets will be on sale between 19 April and 3 May 2022, for travel between 25 April and 27 May 2022

TOCs (Train Operating Company) can choose whether or not to include First Class options, so you may find it varies by fare setter whether a First Class option is available.

TOCs can also choose to use one of their own existing Advance ticket types and rename them for the promotion

TOCs (Train Operating Company) getting a 'choice' in anything is reason for celebration these days - I hope lots of people get a bargain!

You can find out more about how this forum works [here] - that will link you to a copy of the forum agreement that you can read before you join, and tell you very much more about how we operate. We are an independent forum, provided and run by customers of Great Western Railway, for customers of Great Western Railway and we welcome railway professionals as members too, in either a personal or official capacity. As well as posting messages onto existing threads, and starting new subjects, members can communicate with each other through personal messages if they wish. And once members have made a certain number of posts, they will automatically be admitted to the "frequent posters club", where subjects not-for-public-domain are discussed; anything from the occasional rant to meetups we may be having ...
