Unless I have the wrong service, the southbound loco hauled train from Holyhead to Cardiff ran as a pair of 153s.

It must have run its little socks off, never more than 10 minutes down, and right time arrival at the end of its journey.

'The little train that could', though perhaps not from the point of view of capacity/catering.

You have the right service, Mark - "timed as diesel loco and coaches" ... some longish gaps between stations and flat all along the North Wales coast.  Looks like a good performance ... 75 mph train with station-to-station averages not too far below 60.
