Following heavy rain overnight there have been several incidents affecting the line between Salisbury and Exeter today, 21st October 2021.
Flooding was reported at Gillingham this morning. There's been problems with lineside vegetation at Tisbury. And there's been a possible landslip between Chard Junction and Crewkerne.
All of this has led to numerous cancellations, effectively leaving many people at intermediate stations with no practical service. There has been no replacement road transport provided by

I've recently returned by bus to Templecombe from an appointment in Yeovil. Bus nearly full to Sherborne. The service into Yeovil this morning was 'full' on leaving Sherborne. Fortunately there were no further passengers waiting to board between Sherborne and Yeovil Bus Station.
