All correct so far - just 4. and 7. (the historic ones!) to work out. Clue - both stations shown are now closed.

7 - Corsham? Maybe. Would be a lot easier if that station nameboard was clearer

All correctly worked out. 1 Newbury - brooklet 2 Dawlish - PhilWakely 3 Melksham - Stuving 4 Glastonbury - Witham Bobby 5 Warminster - Clan Line 6 Penzance - Zoe 7 Corsham - Witham Bobby I couldn't find a picture of Taunton Station flooded - probably too high. Best I could find:

To digress slightly............ The frequent flooding under the line at Warminster Station defied many attempts over quite a few years to solve the problem. One "solution" (pun intended) involved fixing two vertical rulers to the walls of the underbridge to indicate the depth of the water to approaching drivers. However.................the rulers were so far back from the lowest point of the road under the bridge that there would have to be at least 18" (45.72 cm ) of water under the bridge before even the Zero marks on the rulers were reached. I never actually saw the water get anywhere near the zero mark !

Presumably, the logic of that was to make sure drivers could see the marks in time - there being no point putting them where the water was, because they would only be seen too late.

To pass under the bridge needs a 90° turn on entry and exit, so the rulers were directly in front of the approaching drivers, and were visible before any flood water would be seen. The driver needs to know the deepest depth of the water, not that there is no measurable water at the rulers, which were located outside of the bridge. The "zero" mark on the rulers should have started at 18" not at 0". Apart from which, as I said, the water never reached the rulers anyway.................................absolutely pointless. Even with the rulers, the depth of water was still unknown.

In my opinion a more important point about the flooding under the bridge in Warminster is that it is the only route a wheelchair user, someone pushing a push chair or pram, or a cyclist can exit the station if they have got off on the south-eastbound platform. It has happened to me with a bike, though only with very minor flooding which I could get through.
Imagine what happens if you are in a wheelchair and find yourself rounding a corner and coming face to face with 18" of water to go through...
