This particular path is actually in TRUST▸ for the event of the 67s or additional trains running, but is not guaranteed hence not being in the GW▸ TT.

Thanks for so much unassuming modesty, lads!

William Huskisson MP▸ was the first person to be killed by a train while crossing the tracks, in 1830. Many more have died in the same way since then. Don't take a chance: stop, look, listen.

But you have to admit Chris, they're usually right. (remember the ATW▸ units that Vacman trailed here for several weeks before it was announced.)
I'm looking forward to Vacman telling us that the Trans-Wilts service has been secured, as then I'll know it's a done deal.

Absolutely right, John! I'm really very grateful, to vacman and devon_metro (and others), for their very accurate and helpful posts here! (Sorry for teasing you, lads!)

This is great news. I know I probably said this last year that its a shame that this extra service does not appear in the main FGW▸ timetable book E. People won't use it unless they know its running. Not everyone uses the net to find out about train services. Hopefully FGW will shout it from the rooftops that this extra train is running during the summer and start promoting it early so people know an extra train is available both ways, not just days before it's about to start like they did last year.

Are there many who bash 67s Jim? There were always plenty who bashed 37s when they ran on this route. Those were the days!

Are there many who bash 67s Jim? There were only a handfull the times I did it. 37's and 31's though, they had a huge following on the line!

Yes I always enjoyed Watching the loco hauled specials working their trains up the bank from Weymouth to Bincombe Tunnel from my back garden when I used to live at Upwey just outside Weymouth there is a lot more atmosphere from a loco hauled Train.
