Hopefull I'm having jolly tomorrow on my cousin's narrow boat.

Train Taplow Pangboure I'll Change ot Twford and catch the following GWR (Great Western Railway) Didcot stopper as it's a same platfrom interchange, and I'll meet two more particiapanfs (we're only 4 so meet Covid requirements),

Then  boat Pangbourne to Reading to Reading hopefully he's booked a pub lunch!

Back by train to Taplow from Reading.

Can i do that on an Off Peak Return to Pangbourne from Taplow? I've forgotten the rues on break of Journey.

Must remember a mask!

Yes - but it's not a break of journey as such, rather joining your return train short.   That's allowed on almost all tickets.

* You must make all of the outbound section(s) you are going to before you make any use of the return
* Advance tickets and certain other types such as Megatrains are not valid for shortened journeys
* There are some cases where intermediate breaks are not allowed, such as on the Fife Circle where "any permitted" lets you go the long way round on a direct train, but a dim view is taken if you drop off at Cowdenbeath on an Edinburgh to Kircaldy ticket.

Thanks Grahame I thought that was the case. It will be quite a while before i have to worry about the Fife Circle.
