The Stapleton Road locals have signed a 3-year lease deal with Network Rail for the derelict land next to the station, including the former trackbed and platform faces. They are currently turning this area into a community garden, and will be holding a launch event on Saturday 26 April 2008. Here are some photos, taken on 11/04/2008 :









Should look great when its finished, but one would assume that it will have to go if four tracking between Bristol-Filton Abbey Wood ever gets the go-ahead.

There is an open day on Sunday, 31 August 2008 from 12 noon to 8 pm, with a FOSBR (Friends of Suburban Bristol Railways) stall from noon to 5pm.
