Just 4 and 8 left one is historic the other partley historic .

4,  I am at a Station between Staylybridge no 2 Junction and OA & GB (Great Britain) junction. Where am I.

8,  I am at a summit 900ft ASL between Riccarton Junction and Hawick. Where am I.

Yes Now known as Ashton-under-lyne

While in that area. The last time I went along the line from Ashton Moss north Junction to Denton Junction. Ashton Moss South Junction pointwork had been removed but there was still track disapearing into the trees round towards OA&GB (Great Britain) Junction.
What caught my intrest was that there was also the remains of the 1500volt DC (Direct Current) electrification from Guide Bridge heading round towards OA&GB Junction. Does anyone know how far the wires went and why?
