Presumably Cross Country will need to use an SDO▸ (Selective Door Operation) System on the HSTs▸ (High Speed Train (Inter City class 43 125 units)) which they plan to introduce shortly.

No as all stations will have Grandfather Rights, as HSTs have been used before.

I Know the MML» (Midland Main Line. - about) Set FGW▸ (First Great Western) had which has passed to Cross Country was fitted with SDO▸ (Selective Door Operation) Panels, seems odd that FGW HST▸ (High Speed Train (Inter City class 43 125 units)) sets now no longer have Grandfather rights Whilst CC ones will retain them , presumably they will revert to using old type door panels

FGW▸ (First Great Western) sets don't have grandfather rights simply as SDO▸ (Selective Door Operation) is now fitted in them. If they still retain original door locking then they will retain grandfather rights.

I believe LA79 will keep the SDO as I'm sure it can't be uninstalled once fitted.

Surely if they fit SDO▸ (Selective Door Operation) to all of there sets they will probably be forced to use it at Short platforms

I don't know if H&S▸ (Health and Safety) would allow that though, a less safer train after it could have been safer.

How is it safer apart from the problem of a prat (sorry, but it's true) falling out of the coach onto the ballast when it is announced which coaches will be platformed (which was required even before SDO▸ (Selective Door Operation) came in)....

It doesn't help people if there is a crash does it?

Which appears to be the reason behind it. IMO▸ ('in my opinion') it doesn't make it safer at all.

It is an insult to the Great British people (excluding the prats).
