I've had a few comments about the fact that I haven't updated swlines/southwesternlines for a while - but I'm working on expanding the FGW (First Great Western) area before I release it out into the wild. At the moment I'm working on the Brighton/Portsmouth/Frome - Cardiff Central/Gloucester/Great Malvern timetable.

It should be ready for the May timetable release which I've got all the data on now for the May change - there isn't too much significant that we don't already know about that I can see. Anyway, I'll release the FGW timetables I've got slowly when I get them finished. When they're finished - you'll see them here first! Smiley

Thanks, Tom!

Glad you're apparently none the worse for your extended bash!  Wink

By the way, you seem to have modified your view on 444s?  Grin

William Huskisson MP (Member of Parliament, or Mile Post (a method of measuring the railway in miles and chains from a starting point - usually London), depending on context) was the first person to be killed by a train while crossing the tracks, in 1830.  Many more have died in the same way since then.  Don't take a chance: Stop, Look, Listen.

"Level crossings are safe, unless they are used in an unsafe manner."  Discuss.

They suck. There is nothing else to it. Grin

Still working on it ... should be ready within 2 hours or so.  Smiley

After getting on my first two last week I have to agree with you. How can you sit on that for 2 1/2 hours London-Weymouth, they are so uncomfortable. And they are just ugly, plain and boring.

I generally try and sit in first class on them Wink - seating is quite good in that part.

It would be better if they shut up Celia though. Smiley

To be fair, they were an improvement on the slammers on the Portsmouth route, but certainly not an 'improvement' on the 442s.

She is anoing.
When I went from Bournemouth-Weymouth she was also broken. Kept saying we were now aproaching station as we pulled in and saying we this station is ... as we pulled out and generally missed a few stations.

It throws the internal displays to "Time South West Trains", side displays to "South West Trains" and front display to "SWT (South West Trains)".

So yes! Wink

Although you can still manually kick her in!

It's quite handy for the weekend first upgrade announcement, as well as for LU disruption. there are quite a few announcements in the system are handier than they appear to be. Especially the penalty fares announcement - and CCTV (Closed Circuit Tele-Vision).

First glance I note :

0643 Frome-Cardiff Central service becomes 0646 Frome-Bristol Temple Meads and 0753 Bristol Temple Meads- Cardiff Central services.

Changes to Weymouth/Frome services and Warminster/Dilton Marsh links.

Removal of Avoncliff stop in the 0600 Portsmouth-Cardiff service but no improvement in journey time.
