Now that we're allowed out to exercise a little more, I've been out and about again (in a strictly Covid-19 compliant manner, of course!)

Where was I?

Somewhere on the Portishead mothball.

The rails are a bit rusty, but it's not (as far as I can tell) mothballed...

Is that track really slipping down the hillside, or is it just the way the picture turned out?

Just the way the picture turned out. Nice modern well-engineered bit o' track.

Tytherington quarry line?

Nope.

Hopefully not on a passenger line; on account of the generally neglected and overgrown lineside, cesses and even the four foot with bushes growing.
However it does look as if a weak weedkiller mixture has been recently applied which might kill some of the grasses etc.

So I will guess it's between Burngullow and Parkandillack on a line that has never had a regular passenger service.

I had a look at that but I think it's all double track?   I also took a look into the access siding to the power station near Severn Beach but couldn't see  anywhere that fitted there.

I think you'll find that the kind of cigar you've been offered is just as good to drink as any G+T that replaces it.
