the Daily MailPassengers have been venting their fury at having to potentially pay hundreds more for rebooking advanced train tickets cancelled because of the coronavirus crisis.
Booking site Trainline has found itself in the firing line, with many on Twitter accusing it of profiteering from the pandemic because once an advanced ticket has been purchased on the site, the discount is lost in the process of rebooking it.
But the site has stressed that the rules are set by the train companies and it cannot challenge them.
All very curious, because (from what I read)
TOCs▸ are being quite reasonable with changes to Advance tickets, even if there are issues with seasons and freedom tickets.
