From the Londonist Just two trips without changing, Stanmore to Charing Cross and back without changing.

There's a stretch of the Jubilee line that passengers haven't been able to ride for over 20 years — but this February there's a chance to do just that.

As part of the line's ongoing 40 year celebrations, London Transport Museum is offering special trips between Stanmore and Charing Cross — the original route of the Jubilee line when it opened in 1979.

The catch - for most of us - will be in the price.

I'm booked on Charing Cross to Stanmore - 9th February.

Yes, an arm and a leg (even at concessionary rate!) - but worth it for the trip down the Strand run-off. 

- and just to clarify grahame's comment - it is actually four separate trips. Two one-way trips on two Sundays.
