This is a new one for me. Trained though I am to assist with despatch on my heritage line, I don't think my competence paperwork will stretch this far!

Opened OK for me on desktop PC. Strange one that; wouldn't expect any member of the public to know the dispatch procedure, so wouldn't expect the driver to take any notice of a 'public' dispatch.

Usually just an internal instruction, it seems to have found it's way onto the public board.

Happens quite often. There’s an additional ‘internal information’ field for such things to be put, but sometimes they get put in the public fields by mistake.

That's good. Because part of my problem on modern stock is making sure that all the door handles are horizontal!

Another oddity from Cornwall ... not really worthy of its own thread, so piggybacking on "Please assist with dispatch" Cancellations to services between Liskeard and Looe Due to a shortage of train crew between Liskeard and Looe the line is blocked. How can train crew shortage block a line??

How can train crew shortage block a line?? In itself it can’t, but it can prevent the train needed to operate the branch service from leaving the depot, if there isn’t a driver to move it....

This is a viable reason on the Looe branch as the guard has to manually change the points near Coombe Junction..

Looe branch has been a canal for about 48 hours, maybe shortage of flood clearance staff
