A low 10, with (sadly) only 3 with train travel.

I was surprised to reach 17 in all (plus the one I live in), though that does involve going back more than 50 years to include school trips. 12 count for proper trains, and at least two more for metros ... maybe more, it's hard to remember. And then, did a trip overnight from Olomouc to Vienna via Prerov in 1970 go via Bratislava (now in Slovakia)?

Travelled in 18, train used in 12.  This includes metro travel into major cities and goes back 50 years.

About 23 and 23 for me.

a)  I/we prefer to travel by train rather than car
b)  23 is still less than a third of my age, so I've had more time to travel.  So maybe there should be an age-weighting moderation!

... we were able to do Golden Eagle's Balkan Explorer a few years ago, so that ticked off quite a few countries.
