A "long shot" - is it actually Exeter St Davids? While it's possibly an SR(resolve) train (not sure if it's a BR (British Rail(ways)) 3MT tank or an Ivatt 2MT), that curving platform and substantial canopy look like a substantial mainline station

There was a good model of the old Mangotsfield Station on display at the Thornbury Model Railway Exhibition earlier this year.
