Yesterday morning (Thursday 27th), the 9.03 (fast) departure from Maidenhead to Paddington arrived at Maidenhead before the Marlow train (which usually gets there about 9am).. A man in a customer services Jacket went up to the driver of the 9.03 and asked him to wait for the Marlow train to arrive, so anyone travelling into London would not miss their connection (which also happens to be the last fast train into London)..

I just thought it was worthy of some praise, as it's little things like this that can keep the customers happy.

It is really good whne staion staff think of this and ask the driver which is so often not the case.
I reaaly hope myself for it to happen on Monday as I have two minutes to change at Castle Cary from the Exeter train to the Weymouth train, hopefully someone will make sure everyone is on before it goes which would leave us with a long wait.

You've got no chance is all I can say. If its less that 5 minutes then its not registered as a connection and HSTs (High Speed Train) easily loose time when stopping at Castle Cary of all places.

My fault, I have a dodgy timetable it has put all the times down a line, causing the confusion, I actually have more like 20 minutes.
It is the 11:54 EXD» (Exeter St Davids - next trains)-PAD» (Paddington (London) - next trains) aanyway and calls at all the little haults but is usually 2+7 checking the journey updates.

Today the passengers from the Marlow train were not so lucky.. The board said their train was on time (I think it arrives about 9am), yet we left at 9.03 with no sign of the Marlow train....

I can imagine there were some unhappy people..
