Is 4 Pembroke Dock, a wild guess I know. Been there once on a Pathfinder Tours West Wales Branches trip but cannot recall the residences depicted in the fot.

12 was unguessed when I first looked this am and I knew it was Thurso by the giveaway of the fencing on the left which enclosed the loading point for the nuclear flask traffic for the AEA Dounreay site. PW^▸ (Permanent Way) got in before I had fully woken up and engaged brain to make my post.

The architecture in 4 looks more northern England or Scotland to me. Stranraer?

Bude is an odd one to include as it is a long way from a station. Though I suppose the bus from Exeter St Davids does appear on the departure boards there.

Yeah ... I suppose it was an odd one.  In fact is it further than any other town in the South West from a railway station?   I guess I grabbed the picture and included it because of the rails ... and as there are pretty few places I've visited by car in recent years, didn't think it through.   Let's see if I have made any other similar bloopers on the next set when I release them on you.

Bude ( in the 'Rail Desert' of West Devon and North Cornwall ) is 55 miles or 110 miles round trip, from its railhead at Exeter St D.
Since reopening of part of the former Edinburgh to Carlisle 'Waverley route' main line, Bude indeed seems now the furthest town from a national rail station.

No worries I did recognise it, but I could only answer once in the 1st 24 hours.

. BARNACLE-encrusted track panels from a lost tramway across Summerleaze Beach at Bude have been uncovered by high tides.
The 2ft gauge track appears to be an extension of rails which are set into the harbourside where the Bude Canal forms the town port before it enters the sea.
Recent storms have washed around 3ft of sand from the beach, revealing the lost panels.
Sand used to be regularly taken from the beach to barges or used as ship’s ballast.
The canal at Bude originally ran to a point just north of Launceston, and the sand was taken inland by barge for use as fertiliser.
The tramway allowed sand to be taken in donkey-hauled trucks to waiting barges, and then to the town’s LSWR^▸ (London South Western Railway) station, where it would be loaded into wagons.
The rails on the beach are said to date from 1924 when sand was transported to reclaim land near the town’s recreation ground. The taking of sand from the beach ended in 1941.
