I know we probably have the current information somewhere on the site ... but can't find it.

Quote
*From Bristol Street car park, turn left and keep going until you come to a pedestrian sign directing you through the GWR (Great Western Railway) tunnel and connects you to the Churchward site. Your route will pass English Heritage and Thomas Homes apartments, soon leading to STEAM Museum.

At what time in the evening does the "GWR tunnel" close?   I have an event at Steam to attend early evening ... will I be able to walk back through to catch the 20:06 Westbury train?

Many thanks ...

Event this evening finishes at 20:00 but it's one of those which is "front loaded" and I'm sure I can sneak out a few minutes early to catch the 20:08 ... make a a huge difference.   Melksham remains - to my knowledge - the town who's train service finished earliest in the evening right across GWR (Great Western Railway) land - and we're not a small town either.

What the suggestions on Google - which are useful - above do not tell you are the fares. My return fare to Swindon (senior railcard, no bus pass yet) will be £5.  Out and back via the bus and train - £14.90. Out by train, back by bus - £19.30.  I could save a pound or so buying my bus ticket online before I travel.
