Cycles and surfboards welcome?
I know the conference centre. There will be plenty of space there for cycles, and I'm sure that there will be room to keep your surfboard, although no surfing within the place. I think a new surfing lake / resort is planned near Pilning so perhaps, in a year or two's time ...

Yep, the Wave centre is due to open this autumn, not far from the Cribbs Causeway Mway junction.

In the
initial SEWWEB suggestion we assumed no traffic to / from The Wave centre in the base (minimum) case - which gave 120,000 passenger journeys per year for Pilning Westgate - but added 20 journeys per day in the optimistic (best estimate) case. Aztec West gave 430,000 journeys per annum - much higher footfall but also a much more expensive build due to the layout of the land, but that wasn't Wave traffic.

Excellent presentations yesterday at Railfuture in Bristol. Well supported and well organised. Good to see such emphasis on facilities and services for everyone.
